Spilled wine cake

October 2019
My boss was retiring this year so I made her this cake. They theme of the party was red wine and pizza in the garden so the cake fit in well.  It is a chocolate mud with white chocolate ganache and fondant decorations.

Piped flower cake

October 2019
I made this retirement cake for a lady at work.  She loves pink so the cake was pink on the outside and pink on the inside.  The cake is a white mudcake with cream cheese icing.

Harry Potter Unicorn Cake

October 2019
I made this cake for a work colleague for her birthday.  She loves Harry Potter and I had seen the trend of making unicorn Harry Potter cakes so I thought I'd give it a go.  Turned out pretty cute!

Soccer cake and flower cake

September 2019
My friends son and I have the same birthday.  This year I wanted to make a cake for each of us.  He loves to play soccer so I made his soccer themed. I loved the look of all the swirls together on the unicorn cake that I made a flower naked cake for me.  Both cakes were chocolate mud with white chocolate ganache.

Rainbow Unicorn Cake

September 2019
My niece wanted to make a cake with me for her birthday.  She wanted a unicorn cake with a unicorn horn.  We worked together to make this lovely cake.  I think she did a great job!!

Russian Pipiping tip cupcakes

September 2019
I bought some Russian piping tips from Ebay and tried them out for a work morning tea.  I also piped some rose cupcakes.  The cakes are white chocolate mudcakes with buttercream icing.  There is definitely a knack as to getting the icing the right consistency for these tips.  I spent a lot of the time getting it just right and then the heat from my hands made it too warm and I had to refrigerate them for a while.  I think I need more practice!

Harry Potter Party

June 2018
My son loves Harry Potter. So we had a big Harry Potter party for his 10th Birthday. The guests wore their Harry Potter Robes and entered through platform 9 and 3/4, went through the forbidden forest complete with spiders and smoke,
hung their invisibility coats and went to the sorting hat.  They were sorted into teams and were given a scarf for their team.  They made wands, cupcakes, potions and played quitch in the back yard.
There was heaps of themed food to eat at the Great Hall and they could go shopping for lollies at Honeydukes.  It was a super fun party for young and old.
