Guest Post: My Sisters Tinkerbell cupcakes

My sister made these cupcakes for her daughter's 3rd birthday. The cupcakes are butter cakes with butter icing tinted with chlorophyll. They were then decorated with marshmallow flowers, marshmallow and meringue toadstools and butterflies, stars and flower sprinkles and chocolate drinking chocolate sprinkled over the cakes and toadstooles. The stand had tinkerbell figurines on it. The cakes looked fantastic and tasted great and fitted in with dietary requirements of the guests. Great job!

My 30th Birthday cake

This is my 3oth Birthday cake. It is a chocolate and caramel choc swirled mudcake with rolo chocolates inside, choclate ganache, and white choc fondant. I used edible shimmer ribbons for the first time and a edible image. The bottom is black sanding sugar. I ran out of time to make this cake so I would have liked to have took more time to make it a bit neater. But it was great to learn a new flower and how to use the images and ribbons.

Beer Stein 30th Birthday cake

I LOVED making this cake! It was for a friends 30th Birthday. He loves XXXX. The cake is a chocolate and caramel mud swirl cake with chocolate ganache and covered in white choc fondant. the handle is made out of flower paste and a wire through the middle. The beer can is supported by a piece of dowel going through the cake that was covered in toffee. The bubbles were made from piped white choclate ganache.

I got the idea from a picture on google images by gilmandj (Thanks!).

30th Birthday Party "Bad Taste" themed cake

I made this cake for my friends 30th 'Bad taste' birthday party. It is a chocolate mudcake with choc mint ganache and covered with a bad taste mixture of colours made from mint fondant and pictures of the birthday boy printed onto edible images. The bad taste was the decorating. The cake was super yummy!

Graduation Cupcakes

I made these cupcakes for my sister-in-law when she graduated from university. The cakes are choc caramel cupacake. The icing was decorating cream mixed with white chocolate and caramel top and fill. It was super yummy but very rich. The topper is made out of fondant.

Baby Shower Cupcakes

I made these cakes for a baby shower for a baby girl that had a lilac and white nursery. The mother also requested some pale yellow to add another colour. The cakes are vanillia cupcakes and they are iced with white chocolate ganache and fondant. This was my first time making a pregnant mother topper. I had lots of fun!

Guitar legends cakes

These are the cakes I made for my husbands 30th birthday. He asked for a 'Guitar Legend' themed cake and wanted Slash, Dimebag, James Hetfield and Zak Wild to be on his cakes as they are the guitarists that he looks up to. I got the guitarists and the band labels printed on edible paper. The 5th guitarist is my husband.

The cakes are chocolate mudcake with a chocolate ganache and fondant covering. I also used my new lettering kit to make the letters.
