Guest Post: My Sisters Tinkerbell cupcakes

My sister made these cupcakes for her daughter's 3rd birthday. The cupcakes are butter cakes with butter icing tinted with chlorophyll. They were then decorated with marshmallow flowers, marshmallow and meringue toadstools and butterflies, stars and flower sprinkles and chocolate drinking chocolate sprinkled over the cakes and toadstooles. The stand had tinkerbell figurines on it. The cakes looked fantastic and tasted great and fitted in with dietary requirements of the guests. Great job!

My 30th Birthday cake

This is my 3oth Birthday cake. It is a chocolate and caramel choc swirled mudcake with rolo chocolates inside, choclate ganache, and white choc fondant. I used edible shimmer ribbons for the first time and a edible image. The bottom is black sanding sugar. I ran out of time to make this cake so I would have liked to have took more time to make it a bit neater. But it was great to learn a new flower and how to use the images and ribbons.

Beer Stein 30th Birthday cake

I LOVED making this cake! It was for a friends 30th Birthday. He loves XXXX. The cake is a chocolate and caramel mud swirl cake with chocolate ganache and covered in white choc fondant. the handle is made out of flower paste and a wire through the middle. The beer can is supported by a piece of dowel going through the cake that was covered in toffee. The bubbles were made from piped white choclate ganache.

I got the idea from a picture on google images by gilmandj (Thanks!).
