I made this cake for my birthday to try a rainbow cake. Next time I will do thinner layers and more colours. Cake was a white choc mud with white choc ganache icing

Baby shower cake- boy

This is a baby shower cake that I made for my friend. I had free rein on this cake and had a ball doing whatever I wanted to do. The end result came out really well. I used a first impressions mould to make the fondant baby and cut and shaped each petal for the bottom tier. It was well worth it in the end.  The cake was chocolate mud with chocolate ganache.

Baby shower nappy cake- motorbike

I made this motorbike nappy cake as a present for my friends baby shower. It's not a cake but it turned out well and was great fun to make

Leo the lion cake

I made this cake for my dads birthday. He is a Leo so this was the theme of the cake.

50th wedding anniversary cake

This cake was for a 50th wedding anniversary. Gold is traditional for a 50th wedding anniversary so it was used as the feature colour of the cake.  The cake was chocolate mud with chocolate ganache.

Mars Bars Giant Cupcake

My friend saw a cake like this somewhere on the internet (sorry I don't know where so I can't acknowledge who but thank you whoever you are) and asked if I could make it for her. I added the chocolate biscuits at the bottom to make it look like a cupcake case and butterflies piped chocolate butterflies for decoration.  It was a chocolate mudcake covered in chocolate ganache.  All the girls at our arvo tea loved it (although we were all a bit sick!!).

My sons 3rd birthday Wiggles car cake

My son loves the Wiggles so it wasn't a surprise that he asked me for a Wiggles party for his birthday.  This is the cake I made.  It was a chocolate mudcake, decorated in fondant with fondant Wiggle figurines.  I had another horrible cake decorating week.  It was raining this whole week and the air was very moist which left me with a fight on my hands to keep the Wiggles characters hard.  My son LOVED his cake, especially Jeff asleep in the back of the car, so that was the main thing!!

He also needed cakes for Kindy.  So I made matching cupcakes.

 

My Sons Circus 1st Birthday Cake

 

 

This is the cake I made for my sons 1st birthday party.  We had a circus party and I couldn't wait to make the cake.  There are so many fantastic circus cakes out their so I wanted to create something that was original but also incorporated the things I loved that others have done.  The day was so hot for a day in April and it had been raining the days prior.  The humidity really didn't go well with the fondant on the cake so please don't look too close as there are some mishaps that happened along the way. I also included the photo scene I made for the party cause everyone loved it so much! It was a great day!  Oh yeah- the cake... it was vanilla on the bottom layer, chocolate in the middle and caramel at the top.  The whole cake was covered in white choc ganache and then fondant.

I made this cake for my Mother in laws 60th birthday.  She asked for a pink, white and blue cake.It is a white choc mud with white choc ganache flowers, flower paste flowers and fondant.
